Reviews
"Code Enforcement is used by tenants to abuse the system. Although code enforcement is well aware of the tenants scam they are still there to give the landlord several violations once the tenants call after they stop paying rent. The system is screwed up."
"Everybody who works there should be fired and new staff brought in as they don't do a thing. Totally worthless place. Does the 'mayor' even see how badly his administration is run?"
"Code enforcement is legal thief in Syracuse They are constantly in which hunt of out of state landlords They have their relatives and friends as licensed electricians and plumbers and force to use them for every small things. Their list of citations never end. It’s MOST CORRUPT department and nightmare for out of state investors. There is a reason why good investors leaving Syracuse quickly and city has increased inventory of abandoned houses"
"I drove through the south side of the city and wow!Garbage everywhere why can't you hire some young men to go clean the garbage up ?It's everywhere ! New York city is cleaner! I don't understand it's an embarrassment to Syracuse and the people who live there. When I lived upnorth Canada had emaculant streets and sidewalks because they would fine businesses and homes I'f they didn't take care of the litter. FINE THEM ! Hit them where it hurts in their pocket! If I had something out on my lawn the town will send a letter out and I pay taxes on my home.If you care and clean it up I'm sure the community will care too."
"From my understanding if you want to make a complaint against the living situation at your apartment or house Codes must contact your landlord first. Stating that most landlords will fix it quicker and once we are contacted that is when the "damage or problem" starts. Uh no. My problem started back a month ago now. Now communicating obviously has not worked for a whole month. Just because you all are enforcing rules doesn't mean that you have to communicate with the landlord when that isn't working with a landlord and tenant. In my situation I have communicated through out the month of July by email, phone and face to face. It hasn't worked. So what makes them think their communications?"
