Welcome to the Henderson, NY Historical Society: A Journey Through Time
Nestled in the heart of Henderson, New York, at the corner of County Routes 71 and 72, the Henderson Historical Society invites you to explore the rich tapestry of our town's history. Our museum campus is a treasure trove of historical wonders, featuring three unique buildings that bring the past to life.
Step inside the former Universalist Church, where a vast collection of local artifacts and documents awaits. Discover the charm of a furnished 1820s Log Cabin and delve into the maritime heritage of the Peter-Stevens Boat Annex, home to historic boats and nautical artifacts.
Our museum season runs from mid-May to mid-October, offering free admission every Wednesday from noon to 3 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to noon. While there is no cost to visit, we welcome small donations to support our mission of preservation and education.
Enjoy the convenience of on-site parking and wheelchair accessibility to our main museum building. After your visit, take advantage of the nearby playground, picnic area, and general store, all within walking distance.
