"While I went here when I first moved to the area I have not gone since, but it is a nice small view walk through"
"This was a fun free museum. We stopped in on a whim when we were walking on the lake path because we saw it was the last day for the season. The videos and displays were neat and very educational. If I were visiting with kids, I think it'd be a good starting place to talk about detecting bias in historical narrative and looking for what's not being said in a small exhibit with limited time and space to tell its story."
"Wonderful tiny museum about salt production in the Syracuse area. It is located in a beautiful park on Onondaga Lake."
"Amazing little museum in a beautiful Lake Onondaga Park. Entrance is gratis and the volunteer was very helpful, he even restarted the documentary that was playing so that I could watch from the beginning. The museum is a bit small but, it provides an important snapshot of the history and importance of the salt industry to Syracuse and the entire Ney York economy. Definitely worth a visit."
"Stop in, it is a very small museum but very interesting. I never knew that so much salt came from this area. There is no charge but give them a donation. Then go across the street to Heids hot dogs."
