"The current director certainly knows how to mount wonderful exhibits, directing obviously hardworking staff to showcase collections to their best advantage. Very professional and enjoyable; interesting and educational. No tickets/admission... donation box, which is lovely...I hope folks give generously. Well worth a visit as exhibits are of general interest along with local. Welcoming staff."
"Great place and displays...and lectures.."
"This is a humble and quaint museum but they make up for it in hospitality. There’s not a lot of exhibits to look at but the staff are very welcoming and happy to offer their abundant knowledge with you. I was surprised to learn that Teddy Roosevelt once gave a speech in Owego."
"Owego NY.. they had a Christmas show on trees . A good local museum.. people are very friendly. They help you with any questions. They have a resource room to look up resources on area. Very friendly people. Clean. Labeled well. I will go again to visit. Small fee to enter. Lots of history for this area."
"Wonderful Christmas tree display and auction! There are dozens of decorated trees that have been donated by different groups and people that are all up for bids. The highest bidder will be announced on December 17th and each winner will take home a tree! Also wreaths and other items to bid on. This is an annual fundraiser for this wonderful museum. They will have musical entertainment on Saturdays from now until Dec 17th and Mr. And Mrs. Claus. Take the family, the kiddies, your friends and enjoy the displays! Museum is free with a donation jar for those inclined to support them."
