"I just wanted to drop a note to tell you that The Highway department made good on a problem I had with my front curb. "Bob", I believe is a supervisor in the department took my call in regards to the tree branch cleanup crew that had picked up a load of branches in front of my property, had cracked & pushed in the curb. They came to repair it but the black repair did not match the rest of the grey curb, so I called Bob back and he said they may be able to replace the entire curb. After maybe two weeks, I came home to a beautiful NEW curb! We re-landscaped the front area as it was before except for a 4" gap that had been dug out to make the new curb, and found that they must have come back to fill in the large gap left behind when they repaired it by filling in the moved dirt. It looks SO NICE!!! I am so very happy, and not that it happens often, but in this case our town came through to aid in our request!!! Thank you again, to "Bob"!!"
"Smithtown highway dept is a joke they are lazy and give you the run around I have the storm drain in front of my house over flowing I have lived in the house for over 30 years and its never been more than. 1/4 full I guess the water table has gone up 6 feet in the last. 4 months truth is they messed with the sump on the next block and screwed it up so now they dont want to help fix what they broke thanks smithtown. Im sure glad my $15, 000 a year in taxes goes to pay the lazy town workers hanging out behind stores and side streets"
