"It's a small, quiet, decent town with a huge Gorgeous waterfront park people are mostly nice as well.. my only issue is everything closes early 7 days a week"

"They sure have built this station up since my last time in a couple of decades ago. What used to be a little prop up spot is now a nice looking, appealing station with a lot much needed amenities. It's now a high level (wheelchair accessible) center track platform. It's now elevator accessible, with high pedestrian stairways and walkways to get to the train. There also are digital departure boards to more accurately facilitate timing knowledge. In addition, restrooms are available, however, one may find the maintenance to be slipshod there. I found a wrapper full of sandwich toppings opposite the stall. (At least it's not nearly as bad as the bag of hypodermic needles I found at Plainfield a dozen years ago). With the South Amboy Police Station across the street, it has a more secure presence as well."

"Price for the parking just went up by $10 however, if you want to get a spot you better come early, It is getting packed pretty fast. Some parts of the parking get floated after the rain so you have to consider the weather as well when you park. In addition, parking is cover with dirt and after the rain you pretty much walking in the mad."

"Modern high level platform. Elevators. Large parking lot with relatively cheap monthly pass. Express trains to Newark and NYC. Trains every half hour during morning and evening rush. Bathroom open during business hours. Air conditioned and heated waiting room."
