SP+ Parking

"Courteous attendants, just up the block from Pru Center, liked being able to pre-pay online and be guaranteed a parking space (was $40 as opposed to $45 on site) but not a good experience picking up vehicle after a sold-out show. A huge waiting line because cars are valet parked everywhere in the small lot including up and down the narrow street and cars have to be moved around in order for the attendants to get them out. Attendants did their best under the circumstances but will look for a park yourself lot next time."

"First and foremost I have used this lot since the Prudential Center opened. On 11/21 we wait nearly 15 minutes standing in the freezing cold as they tried to locate the keys. After reading other reviews of the same experience you’d THINK this would be addressed. 11/23 a 1/2 hour after the game the line of people waiting for cars was 50-60 people deep (have photo) and we pay a premium for this? Sorry, but there is an obvious disregard for the Paying Customer, poor management and taking my business elsewhere."

"They lost our keys and then continued to ignore us as we stood in the rain. They bury all of the cars so it takes 30 minutes to get your car. When we finally found our keys, they were on the back tire after someone snuck over and put them back on there. As we stood there we watched them side swipe another car they were moving out of the way. Not worth $40 whatsoever, there was no apology."

"Dont like the city of Newark? Like going to events at the rock? Dont like worrying about whether or not your car is going to get broken into? Want to be able to walk to your choice of 3 sports bars right next to the Prudential Center? This place may be a tad pricy, but I think it's worth shelling out a couple extra bucks to not have to worry while I'm watching a devils game."

"What a wonderful experience. The entire staff was courteous, respective, helpful and treated my car with great care. I didn't have to worry at all. Please read on: I was able to get last minute tickets to Frozen Disney on Ice for last night. When I started to check into parking, I was annoyed to find out that I should have reserved a parking space as well. Who knew? The parking lots next to the Pru Ctr. were sold out. The other lots associated with the Pru Center that had space were 1/2 mile away from the center! I was in a panic. It was so cold last night and only my 6 year old daughter and I would be going. I started googling and calling around. Enter: Star Parking and Libby, my angel! A live person actually answers their phone! How rare these days! I told her my situation and she asked me my name and the type of car I was driving. She told me exactly where to go. When I got there, a wonderful spot was waiting for me. Their lot was steps away from the Prudential ctr and the street was blocked off to only cars parking so we simply walked down a safe pedestrian street steps away from the entrance to the center. When the show was over, we returned to a lot that was well lit, with several attendants so I felt very safe. I simply drove out and I was on my way home. No fuss, no traffic jam. A true pleasure! If I visit the Pru ctr again, I won't even hesitate to call Libby again and park there! A super class act!! Thank you Libby and the entire staff!"
