SP+ Parking 107 - 111 West 31st Street, Manhattan, New York 10001

"First of all. We need to understand living/visiting/going around the NYC is stressful and not easy. There are many things that are exciting in Manhattan and there are many causing stress and anxiety - parking your car is definitely one of them. For parking business I have never figured out how it works and operates. They are many marketing/sales channels where you may buy/reserve parking spot, and they work with parking garage to fufil service based on their agreement. There may be cases that a busy lot runs out of space - yes for the limited space they need to shuffle the cars to make the best benefit. There may be too many agreements assigned with other business such as hotels but not being closely followed. Also think about it - how much the onsite staff get paid hourly. From time to time I got bad experience too in NYC for parking. For example I used Spot hero reserve a spot and paid oversize fee and I was still asked to pay oversize fee on spot when I was trying to get car back. According to the staff the record did not show that -- then I had to deal with SpotHero and never got refund for double payment for the oversize. To be clear it is a different parking garage and I strongly believe it is SpotHero's problem not the parking garage. Will use SpotHero again? No. Will I use that parking garage again? Probably. It is important to set right expectations and research/plan ahead of time. 50% of chance it will depend on your luck. The rest of 50% is totally out of your control. I had a good experience at this particular park garage at this time. Good luck!"

"UPDATE: These a$$holes tried this scam once again. Caught them in the lie and they still overcharge. They are pathetic. Jokes. Never parking her again. Be sure to double check that your vehicle qualifies as over sized before they charge you. The joke of a manager tried ripping me off my charging me an SUV fee, which doesn’t even exist. He even told me I don’t know what I’m talking about. Well, I had to get SP+ on the phone to tell him he was wrong and remove the charge. He tried this twice. And no apology even after this embarrassing moment for him. Pathetic."

"Honestly, I parked here for a week, it wasnt pleasant at first days, they were too busy and short staff. I saw alot of customers happy with the staff, and a few not. as a midtown garage and next to the garden dont expect a fast entry if you late, also traffic is horrible, is not easy to make that left turn on 6th av. I learned one thing in NY services, you must tip, dont be cheap. like one waiter said Money talk BS walk. so far my experience is great and I recommend the garage."

"There was a line of cars with no drivers to drop off. I walked down to ask if I should leave it there and before I could speak the attendant with an attitude said it would be 30 minutes. He kept walking complaining he was the only one there which is not my problem. Thankfully I booked through Parkwhiz and they were able to cancel and refund. I went across the street where the guy was also stressed but knew how to handle it without issue. DO NOT PARK HERE"

"Used spot hero to book this as always do when we come to the city with our Q5. Paid through the app but when checking out asked for an extra $30 for an SUV charge. We never get charged that, a Q5 is a crossover not an SUV. the guy working the desk also told us to take a picture of the ticket in case we lost it. We actually decided to swing by and pick the car up when we didn’t have the ticket on us. We showed him the picture and he told us it was no good. Cool."
