"Made a reservation and paid through SpotHero. Though the payment went through, they claimed I never made a reservation and insisted that I pay an additional $24 for the 12 hours (10:09 pm to 10:02 am). I showed them my reservation and proof of payment, but the guy at the garage kept insisting and refused to give me my car. SpotHero thankfully refunded me the reservation but obviously I will not be using this garage again."
"The guys who work there are always polite and efficient and the prices are reasonable for Manhattan, but now the garage has been closed for more than three weeks with my car stuck inside! Nobody seems to know when it will open or when I can get my car again. It’s crazy."
"We switched to these guys for monthly parking and we are so happy we did. It's a small place with a variety of clients so it never gets slammed like other places do. They are usually great about having the car ready when you call 5-10 minutes ahead, and they've never done anything dumb like lock the keys in or lose the car. A lot of the guys are real sweethearts. It's night and day from our previous place. This is a few blocks further away from us but it's well worth the schlep."
"I've been parking there for approximately 2 years. The staff is really helpful and i've never had anything missing from my car. The employees are probably the only reason why i'm still a monthly customer there. They are friendly, courteous and hard workers. The reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with the employees, but more so with the management staff and the lack of technology. The only way to obtain your car is through a mechanical elevator which undergoes maintenance from time to time. The management team needs to do a better job of communicating when maintenance is occurring. They usually put up a sign inside the garage that on a specific day elevator maintenance will occur, however this only helps me if i'm inside the garage. If i don't pick up my car and see the sign, i wouldn't know that there is maintenance being scheduled. Something that a simple text message or email would solve, especially seeing as they have both channels to communicate to me with. Same goes for when the elevator all of a sudden ceases to function. An email/text message blast to alert all monthly customers the status of the issue, estimated time of repair and when the issue has been resolved. This will allow me to make an informed decision on how to commute to work, or what to do with my vehicle prior to leaving my house or place of work. Lastly, the place needs a contingency plan. The management staff used to own another parking lot two blocks away and when the elevator stopped working, no big deal. I would be asked to go park my car at their other lot, free of charge and it would only add a few extra minutes to my walk home. Wednesday I waited two hours to park my car, only to take it to another lot because the elevator wasn't working and I had to pay out of pocket. No reimbursement, no apology or even acknowledging that this was an error on their part. I know elevators break down unexpectedly, and things happen that are outside of the companies control, however it doesn't mean they can't be prepared to handle the situation and make it right for their customers."
"I used to love this lot and recommended it to everyone in the area. Over the past few weeks I’ve had terrible experiences where it took way too long to get my car and twice I was very late for important commitments. I called corporate and spoke with supervisor and he wasn’t super helpful. They are more expensive than the other lot but I chose them because of better customer service and because their manager speaks English. Today the manager was not there and it was a disaster. I got a monthly spot because it normally takes 20-30 minutes to find parking but It’s not helpful when it takes them an hour to get my car in the morning even when I gave them advanced notice when I dropped it off last night and texted this morning. NOT WORTH IT and terrible customer service."
