"Hawthorne Train Station is one of the few stations on the Main Line, or anywhere else for that matter, where commuters can cross the tracks at grade level in the middle of the station, thanks to a rail crossing. It can be a tremendous convenience, as with the small space available, it would be quite a chore to have to walk a bit of a distance to get around to the other side of the tracks otherwise. That however, is one of only a few conveniences to this venue. Parking is free but the lot is miniscule, which I believe would cause many commuters to resort to parking on nearby streets. Not convenient. Also, access from the east (or the northbound side of the tracks) is somewhat hidden, making it a little disconcerting."

"Trains are pretty much always on time. Voice announcements are less than useless though, so keep watch on Departure Vision in the app!"

"My experience at Hawthorne is decent it is a lower platform meaning it’s not wheelchair accessible unfortunately. And it’s kinda hidden. They have plenty of trains going by and the crossing is really cool."

"This station is not accessible and is dangerous since there is a pedestrian crossing across the tracks, so an inebriated person or child could be in danger. The parking is free but the lot is very small."
