"I have been purchasing hair from Gigi’s since they were at the other location and they have never disappointed me. I recently purchased hair extensions from them at their new location on Riverdale Ave and I was super happy that the amazing quality and fair price was still the same. They took their time with matching my hair as I had highlights that were a bit difficult to match but nevertheless they came through. I would like to add that I went to them 3days before leaving for my birthday trip to Miami and they rushed without compromising the quality to put together what I asked for. I was also late with picking up the hair and they waited for me. I will never go anywhere else for hair!! The hair I received did not shed and I know I’m going to get at least a year with using the same hair. I just have to make sure I do my part in caring for the hair. I’ve been to different places before to see if I could get a better deal and I learned the hard way as I didn’t get quality. I’m a customer for life and I highly highly recommend them. ❤️"

"I am not sure why they have such bad reviews. I have been coming here almost 10 years and I live in Long Island. My hair dresser who I have also been with just as long loves their hair and has since been recommending Gigi's to all her clients ever since I came here. G and Henry are very helpful and friendly. You can come in and place your custom matched hair order. I am a #2 & #4 mix which is pretty much uncolored natural dark brown that perfectly matches me and they will usually have you done within an hour. I usually get 2-3 ounces of loose hair for brazilian knots as I just do extensions for volume and length. If you are a regular customer you can leave a hair sample and you can even call it in so that it is ready once you arrive. They have all hair colors and textures & you can buy the hair for whatever you need it for. I think you can even call and have it shipped. They don't take cards anymore and the prices have gone up a bit. For example, in my color 22" is $58 an ounce, 24" is $68 an ounce etc. I think it's worth it but truthfully I also don't know any other place. The parking can also be a hassle but it is in uptown manhattan near lots of popular places. Make it a planned city outing day and kill two birds on one stone. Definitely give them a try!"

"I purchased hair from here three years ago and the hair is still in amazing conditions. I went recently hoping to get the same results but unfortunately I spent over $400 on the worst hair! The hair's texture is like beauty supply braiding hair and it sheds and gets tangled easily. When you purchase from them they mix in synthetic hair with human hair (hence why it takes long for them to give you the hair). I'm highly disappointed and if there was a way to give zero stars I will. Trust these reviews and don't waste your money here. You can see the difference in the hair by the pictures below."

"I used to purchase hair from G&G Hair years ago when it was "good hair". I went to purchase hair there about a month ago and the hair is different. I paid close to $400. for 10 inch semi wavy hair. This hair is "HORRIBLE! " The worker told me they don't purchase their hair from the Chinese people anymore and you could tell. I still can't get over the fact that I paid so much money for hair that is the quality of $20.00. Save your money and purchase elsewhere. Their hair is not the same as it used to be. They will NEVER get another penny from me!"
