"I attended this event in 2022 for the first time. Since Allegany State Park is one of my favorite places, I had no problems signing up for this weekend event. I found it to be very well organized, and a large variety of experiences were offered. There was something for everybody!"
"I first attended the pilgrimage during college years in the 70βs!! I have attended every year since missing maybe 2 years. Too much fun to miss this event!!!"
"The pros: Pretty setting. Lots of classes to choose from. So gratifying to see loads of nature loving people. I missed the night speakers this year but in the past, they have been wonderful. The price has been very reasonable. Very nice that you can go for a day or the whole weekend. The cons: To me, all of the classes were too large for a very personal experience - probably 30 or more per class. Two classes I had were disappointing in that there wasn't any of what the class was about to look at (ie too cool for butterflies to be flying so early and no holes in trees filled with water). Both teachers were good at improvising but a little better planning might have helped. The hotdog lunch was nice to provide but next time I would just eat my own snacks or lunch. I have heard that the price is going to go up considerably next year, which is disappointing. Some of the classes are repeated every year so I don't feel I will want to go every year, though I have thought it would be good to try some of the all day ones for something different."
