"The Mexican girl working there is nasty, no customer service, not welcoming. After a long day, a good coffee, nevertheless with people like this, better not to get anything."
"I don’t know what’s wrong with the obese woman with glasses behind the counter. I have to ask her what time is best to come in… before or after she eats because I really can’t figure out when or if she’s just rude because something happened to her or if that’s her personality. Either way, the last time I was here I spent upwards of $200+ on several pounds of cookies….. I should have walked out when she told me “stop pointing and just say what you want” well PARDON ME, maybe I have vocal chord paralysis, I’m partially deaf and also have a speech impediment and you just don’t hear me when I say the name of the cookie, the pastry or cake and unfortunately pointing in a bakery is an old habit us New Yorkers have….. SO THANK YOU… she even did that to me years ago when I ordered several disgusting cakes…. I don’t know why I keep allowing myself to believe Italian bakeries can make a fresh cake because they all taste old and the whipped icing is stale. Come to think of it, I should have used my middle finger to point to what I wanted….. and then proceed to tell her to sit on it although that’s not smart because I would lose a hand in an elephants ___. I won’t be returning. I refuse to be abused by a business owner. Especially in 2024 with inflation. I can see if the prices were really good and I just laugh it off like I did the several times this has happened but that’s not the case. Eat a snickers bar…….. the end."
"Very good variety of cakes and cookies plus they sell olive oil and all sorts of Italian soda pop etc."
"its really hard to find sugar free pastries in new york. but they do. they really do! for the person who love cookies but hate sugar, this is the best spot!!!!!!! and the the young lady who work in the front was soooo nice. if she didn’t tell me those sugar free cookies i wouldn’t know!"
"What a fabulous bakery. It brought back great memories of my childhood in old San Francisco’s North Beach District. The cookies were fabulous. And what a selection! Young lady who was working there was so friendly and helpful."
