"We tried bite sizes of a few different types of cakes. All were very dry. My husband got a strawberry tres leches cake slice and it too was VERY dry. I would not recommend this bakery when you have this many selections in the neighborhood."
"Whenever we are in the neighborhood it was always comforting to go to this bakery for great coffee and fantastic pastries. Unfortunately, this was not the case today. We ordered a few pastries such as: tres leches, cheese cake, milhojas, a cheese filled croissant, a chocolate filled pastry and three coffees. We found the pastries a little dry and stale as if they’ve being sitting for awhile and the coffee just wasn’t the same anymore. Although they were gracious enough to exchange two pastries , the others were equally stale. I suppose these are the signs of change ."
"My friends and I went for breakfast. $2.50 for large cup of coffee. However, once the little bit of foam settled got as much as a small cup. One word comes to mind "mezquino, mezquino, mezquino". The pastries where delicious. All of us where very dissapointed we did not get a full cup of coffee, not nice; defraudados por el cafe."
"Just be warned La Nueva Bakery is not a friendly neighborhood bakery. The workers are very rude! I went to pick up some sauces for 2 dozen empanadas which they forgot to include my total was $66.00 and “manager” refused to give me any. Not even a few sauces... such a shame have been visiting this place for years but not anymore. RUDE EMPLOYEES."
"Bottom line you shouldn't have to wait damn near 30-40 mins for a cup of oatmeal to go. I feel like they should start or stop taking calls after certain time in the morning. They should focus more on the customers in the store. They are more concerned with online orders. There will be 4-5 customers in the store and there will be 3 servers working we shouldn't be waiting that long for them to take our order. The sad part about is, the owner is aware of this. I watch customers flip out and I watch some walkout."
