"My cake and cupcakes came out exactly how I envisioned for my baby shower. The cake and cupcakes were packaged with great care when I picked up. They were both a hit at my baby shower and tasted amazing! I ordered the strawberry mousse and dulce de leche. The dulce de leche was my favorite! I will definitely be ordering again for future events. Thank you Florencia!"
"10 out of 10. Atmosphere was very nice. Has Wi-Fi; Good food! I got the tiramisu & the Gluten Free Peach cobbler with whipped cream on top, it was delicious! Oh, and a glass of wine! I’ve yet to come across any other bakery with a vibrant scenery that has wine & beer! I love! And they have gluten free options! Unlike any other bakeries I’ve been too! Definitely go & give it a try!"
"Florencia Bakery and Coffee Shop is a cute and charming bakery located in the heart of Astoria. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Sharon as she shared with me their menu boldly printed on the wall. The aromas of butter and baked goods was so inviting and I decided to pick a stuffed chocolate walnut cookie. It was soft, not too sweet that way you can taste the richness of the ingredients all together. I look forward to trying more goodies from them they are a wonderful addition to the neighborhood with a family friendly feel and charm."
"I was hanging out in steinway and I was delighted to have found this gem next to my other favorite stores. The inside is nice and cool and my coffee was made just the way I like it which only comes from great customer service that listens to how you want it The muffins, birthday cakes and their pastries are made in house from oven right to you :)"
"This cozy bakery and coffee shop just opened yesterday on busy Steinway St in Astoria. The interior is a nice blend of light wood, green accent walls and counter and led lights. While the space isn’t large, they have managed to include several small café tables for dining in. On their first day of business, the counter displayed different kinds of cakes, cookies, muffins, croissants and sandwiches. There were even gluten free options displayed in the counters. I ended up getting a Ham Sandwich with Pesto ($9), Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4), Bear Pastry (43.75) and a Tiramisu Cake ($8). The Ham sandwich was good. It was filling but not too heavy. And I really liked the bread they used for the sandwich. It was much lighter and flakier than a regular baguette with a chewy interior. I just wished they put more pesto on the sandwich. The Tiramisu was quite good. I saved this and ate it the next day so it was more soft almost soggy by the time I ate it. It probably would have been better eating this right away. The flavor was good; slightly sweet and with a soft espresso presence. The Chocolate Chip cookie was great. The bottom had a nice crunch and was filled with lots of dark chocolate chunks. I put it in the microwave for like 5 seconds so that the chocolate became slightly gooey. My favorite purchase was the Bear pastry. It was slightly sweet and had a slightly dense texture. It had dark chocolate accents (for face, arms and legs). It looked cute and tasted even better. Looking at their Instagram profile, it looks like they specialize in cakes for special occasions. I didn’t see much of that in the shop but good to know they offer it. Hope more people support this small business and best of luck to them."
