"I looked for a bar in midtown and came upon As Is NYC. They had many beer selections on draft so I was excited abt it, but the beer was not cold. Their self-serve water in a cooler was colder than the draft beer I ordered. It was a hot summer day and the AC was not a good temperature as well. I definitely would like a cold cold beer on draft if I paid $12 for the pint. They also only had one cocktail that was made with vodka. It was mostly gin bourbon and tequila. If you are in a mood for delicious cocktail, not much selection here. However the bartenders were kind."
"The cocktails are terrible. Premixed, weak, taste like they both contain IPA beer when they shouldn’t. Really dissatisfying. Service was basic and unappealing. The best part is the place it’s self as it looks nice. I’ve put 1 * for food as drinks isn’t an option. We didn’t eat. The pictures is of the papi chulo and a classic margarita. Do not recommend cocktails, hopefully their beer is good for those who like beer. $33 for bad cocktails is not worth it."
"Cool beer bar in Hell’s Kitchen. Found myself a dark spot with air conditioning on a hot day. Food was excellent too. Very pricey though. $12 for many of the beers. $5 happy hour (for $10 beers, which were a few). All the beers were good that I drank. I do wish they allowed tastings as I didn’t want to commit to a full pint of 8% blackberry hibiscus sour. But I did anyway. And it was great, not too blackberry-y."
"Prices in NYC drive me crazy, haha. $45 for 3 lagers (1 local and 2 from a different state) and 1 very small pale ale (basically a taster). That's before a tip. What's more important, the beers were good, although could be a tad colder imo"
"Extensive selection of local and regional beers on tap! It was great to see something for everyone and not a single style [of beer] taking over. The staff was friendly and informative, and the food was generously portioned. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was nicely spiced with a very generous portion of pork. As for beers, I had a Hills Farmstead (out of Vermont) 'of first and last things' (IPA) before my meal, and a Drowned Lands (out of NY) Scythe (Forder fermented pumpkin beer). Great spot for someone who enjoys beers!"
