"People were nice, food options were extensive - and when I ordered a bagel with egg whites and avocado, they put on two big slices of real avocado, not some sort of green mushy paste. Seating area is ample and comfy, with a couple of outdoor tables. Just what I wanted!"
"Mediocre food, horrible customer service. Keeps deteriorating, they lost a regular customer. Food: ordered a bagel and a sandwich on a roll. Both were ordered to be toasted, but were received cold and stale. The bread roll was clearly a few days old. Bagel was not toasted properly either and felt like eating raw flour. Egg and cheese sandwich was missing cheese. Service: I have been going to this place regularly, but the people who work there have become very rude recently. I ordered online to pick up in store this time instead of ordering instore. Waited in line to go counter and lady rudely said that pickup people need to wait in the corner by the sign. It was said as if I was supposed to have known this before going to her. The sign for pick up is a printed paper stuck on the wall that is hidden behind the snacks rack, almost hard to be seen. I kept waiting for 15 mins standing there with no one showing there, even when my order was ready a while ago as per the app, so when I asked the guy behind there he was extremely rude and unhappy that I asked him. There were few other people waiting, seemingly for delivery apps, who told me that you cannot ask him and you have to wait. For record, I wasnt picking for delivery. The guy then just handed the order to me without asking name, and when I checked the name tag it was someone else’s order. I asked him and he snatched it back from my hand, and came back 10 mins later and handed my order, as if I was doing him a pain by being there as a customer. We ate the food immediately in car and it was cold and stale. Price: The prices are high, more in line with New York city rates, $5 for a bagel with cream cheese. Not worth at all. I have going to this place regularly and the service had been deteriorating. But I kept going back in hopes the food will remain good. But this last experience was the indeed the last time for me at this place. People who work there need to realize they are in business and have jobs because of loyal customers like who keep coming there. They way they treated me this time, means I am not going there ever again. They lost a loyal customer."
"The best place for bagels in town, period! Their bagels are just delish with the perfect texture. I also really like the bread they use for their hero-it's so soft! Their chicken cutlet sandwiches are pretty good too, throw on some cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and some Russian dressing. The staff is super nice. Call ahead if you don't want to wait for your order, esp during the morning rush."
"My first time coming here as my gf wanted a gluten free bagel. Ordered a gluten free bagel w/ cream cheese and a pastrami / cheese, no egg on a bagel. Some how that came out to 17$ before asking for a tip (which I gave, so it came out to 19$).Which is over the posted menu prices in store and online. Either update your menus to reflect accurate pricing or train your staff on how to properly bill out the items ordered. Then had to wait over 30 minutes for the food, not to mention one of the staff members was using the company phone to just chit chat with a friend about life instead of tending to the line of people there."
"I am really sad to leave this review. This is the third time we tried "The Bagel Shop" in Heights. Unfortunately, we have never been satisfied, and we are going to have to call it quits on trying it again. We ordered two wraps with egg whites, spinach, and turkey bacon. As you can see, it was mostly bread, and there is very minimal spinach. I'm not sure what was on our cream cheese bagel, but it was not supposed to be there..."
