"Great place for a company brunch or lunch. Amazing carrot cake and the best Apricot Rugelach make a Jewish Grandma proud."
"HIGHLY RECOMMEND , Low key shop tucked away, healthy food choices, and bakery delectables. It's hard to find on Google unless you know the place."
"What are Rugelach (pronounced rug-a-lah)? It is a Yiddish word that translates to ‘little twists.’ These crescent-shaped flaky pastries are layers of filling that might look complicated, but the dough is quite simple to put together and popular among American and European Jews. Located in a small strip mall off of Route 46 West at the former site of Just Grapes in Elmwood Park, my partner and I came here after reading several reviews. Upon entering the Rugelach Shop, the delicious smell of baked goods filled the very spacey interior, along with their recently opened juice bar, where we were greeted by the owner, Kevin. The owner, while not of Jewish heritage himself, embraces and respects the richness of Jewish culinary traditions. From the traditional techniques passed down through generations to the distinctive flavors that tell tales of family kitchens. The menu featured rugelach, red velvet cake, lemon-toasted coconut cake, cheese cake, and carrot cake. Wash them down with nice, healthy protein shakes, smoothies, or juices. Complimentary chocolate rugelach were given to us for sampling. It was warm, buttery, and homemade. We decided on some apricot and raspberry rugelach, making a satisfying breakfast when accompanied by tea or coffee, as well as a slice of the lemon toasted coconut cake to take home. The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. We can’t wait for repeat performance and can recommend this place."
"This place has the best rugelach I’ve ever had! I also tried most of their other baked goods and they’re all delicious! I’m not a big cheesecake fan, but their cheesecakes are awesome! Not too sweet and the texture is just right. Kevin, the baker/owner is super cool and friendly too. This spot is my favorite destination for my dessert needs. I highly recommend."
