"Visited as a family with 2 kids under 10. They really enjoyed all the activities set up for them, and my husband and I enjoyed the firepits and relaxed atmosphere. We went to the diamond mine and had a blast looking for treasure. Sites were very nicely spaced out, and staff were friendly and helpful. We are already making plans to return!"
"If you are looking for a safe family-friendly treasure hunting resort, this is the place for you! This was our first time here, wife was doing the diamond mining while husband was walking the dog around the main paths and grass area and touring the camping areas and lodges. The place is impeccably clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Plenty of restrooms."
"We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted kindly. The site we reserved was in the main section of the park on a paved road-so easily accessed and backed by the river. We only use our own facilities so I can’t speak to theirs. The pool use requires a waiver, which we’ve never encountered at a KOA. We went in the pool, but the water was pretty murky-hard to see my feet-so I got out and enjoyed just reading poolside instead. We took our bikes up to the newer section of the campground, which is above the mine up quite a rough and rocky steep driveway. It was a bit unnerving on my bike so I’m not sure what it would be like towing a camper up that incline. In any case, lots of amenities and enjoyable stay. Loved bashing rocks and searching for‘diamonds’ across the way:)"
"Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, and this was during the middle of the week. For the price we pay, and the KOA name and high standards, it was a complete, disgusting disappointment. Summer camp kids came in to use the already busy pool, leaving little room for people paying a lot of money to stay at the resort. Store opened and closed when it wanted to. Duck poop by the entrance to the store was never cleaned all week. We love the duck, but the quality and cleanliness and all around care at this location is definitely not on par with other KOA locations."
"The front desk staff added us in at the last minute on a holiday, then upgraded us. Thanks from weary travellers on a 550 mile day. It is a bit pricey in comparison to most other KOAs we have encountered, but it's a nice place with lots to do. Beautiful region of NY, too. Hope to come back when we can stay for a while."
