"Bought my Vespa from here. Everyone wa super helpful and even went as far as to work with my insurance agent for me. I have had it for a month or so now and it still runs perfect. No problems at all."
"I owned a Kymco 110 Compagno motor scooter. I loved the scooter. For four years, I stored the scooter and had it serviced at HMS. The Kymco was in excellent condition - with only 1400 miles on the odometer. However, the cost of storing and servicing the scooter - for brief use in the summer - eventually became impractical. I decided to arrange for HMS to sell the scooter on consignment (Oct '22). I did not ask for a contract. BIG MISTAKE. For the following 16 months, I waited for information from HMS about the consignment sale. At length, I contacted HMS (Jan '24) on several occasions. I learned that the scooter was actually sold in Sept '23. However, HMS NEVER INFORMED ME OF THE SALE. HMS also acknowledged that the check (my share of the proceeds) was never forwarded - as the check was somehow 'misfiled.' It gets worse. The sale price of the scooter was $1700. My share of the sale price: $415. Why only $415? Well, HMS charged $500 as a fee for the consignment sale, and an additional $800 in fees for 'storage and servicing of the scooter.' A total charge of close to $1300 for the sale of the scooter. I wrote to HMS to protest the (to my mind) excessive fees and returned the check. I reminded HMS that I was a long-standing customer, and asked that HMS consider a more equitable allocation of the sale proceeds. Now, about two months later, I have (as before) heard nothing from HMS. I have the necessary documentation, and will have to figure out how to proceed. ADDENDUM: After many months passed, I contacted HMS (Aug '24) regarding my complaint about allocation of the sale proceeds. I was pleasantly surprised by the receptive attitude displayed by HMS. We agreed that I would receive one-half of the sale pro- ceeds of the motor scooter, or a $300 increase over my original share. It seems only fair to document HMS' subsequent courtesy (following my original complaint) to resolve the matter. It is also true that the favorable resolution required my persistent effort."
"STAY AWAY from SCOOTER99!!! The sidecar or parts will come to you DAMAGED! The packaging is extremely poor. The company will not honor any damages done to the product. Consequently, you will be out several thousand dollars with a prospect of spending another several thousand in repairing and repainting the sidecar. STAY AWAY is my advice!"
"Bought 2 scooters from them over the past 4 years. They’re helpful, reasonable & go above and beyond to get you what you want."
"Awesome place. Great staff. They pick up and drop off too. Bought a dirt bike and they worked on My Buell Blast. Highly recommend"
