"I brought a 1999 Pathfinder at Jerry's Auto Sales and it turned out to be the best auto buys ever. Needed insurance and he recommended an insurance broker that handled everything. Jerry is a rare find. Honest, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The car drove from NYC to Charleston to Columbìa, SC. Ran like a dream. I Highly recommend you buy your next used vehicle from Jerry's Auto Sales on Staten Isl. You will be very pleased."
"Jerry is a darling! He's the most unusual...an honest used car salesman. I bought a Chevy cavalier, a Pontiac, Saturn that all ran great! He is a great local business and will even help you if there any problems. I send all my friends there"
"I bought a car from Jerry in August 2021. It was a great deal Pontiac 2006 for $3000 since car prices were insane during that time. 5 days later the fuel pump went out. So I had to shell out $750 to replace it. The car currently has engine issues, it's on its last legs. I have put 27k miles on it so I got my money worth. In 17 months I have had this car , I had to change tires, starter, battery, fix breaks. The car burns oil like a chimney. Even changing oil every 3k miles and adding 2-3 quarts it still burns oil. I could probably junk it for $650 once it dies. I even wanted to give Jerry my business again. I like Mitsubishi outlander he has but he won't budge $10 on that car. Ok fine. He is a businessman I have no problem with that. Plenty of fish ( used car dealers) in tri state area. Not many people can bring $6k to dealership But I can. Anyway I have no hard feeling towards jerry. He is probably better than 90% of used car salesman"
"Purchased a used car from Jerry in July of 2020. I waited a year or so to give an accurate review of my experience. So far, the car has been mechanically sound. We have only had to make one repair on the vehicle and that repair is to be considered to fall under “general maintenance” of a vehicle. Mind you, the car we purchased is 14 years old. Jerry’s personality is nonchalant and while that can be off-putting to some, I appreciated the fact that he wasn’t overbearing and pushy the way other used car salesmen are. He allowed us to have a mechanic come and look at the vehicle, which revealed to us that it did indeed replacement of the back brakes, to which jerry did right before the sale without question or hesitation. I think whenever you buy a used car, you are taking a gamble. Do your research, purchase a car-fax — avoid cars with multiple owners, etc. I am highly pleased with the car purchased here. If I am ever in the market for another used car — I will be returning to him!!!"
"I was planning on buying the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Jerry has listed for $3350. I was very interested from the beginning. Took the car for a test drive and realized that the car being sold was very sketchy. There was an awful rotten smell in the trunk despite Jerry claiming the car had been cleaned, so that means there was a possible leak through the window or possible water damage. The spare tire was also missing. He was nice enough to let me take the car to a mechanic. I was told by the mechanic that the car would need at least $1000-$1300 in repairs including the front breaks needing to be replaced. The spare tire reappeared this time around and it was dry rotted. I was willing to buy the car and make all necessary repairs if Jerry would meet me halfway with the price. Realistically, the car is worth maybe $2000 with all of the repairs and replacements needed to make the car drivable. Jerry wouldn't go lower than $2600, so I walked away. I called one more time a few days later to see if he was open to negotiating again. He rescinded his $2600 offer and claimed he would DEFINITELY sell his car within a month or two for asking price. I just want to write this review not to bash Jerry out of anger because I ended up not getting the car. I get that he has a job to do, but he is incredibly sketchy. If you do plan to buy this car, just know that it needs major repairs and it's not worth the asking price. Don't buy this car naively thinking it's in good condition. Make sure you take it to a mechanic and don't take Jerry's word for it."
