"I recently visited an Alfa Romeo dealership with a Capital One pre-authorization for financing. The sales agent asked if they could try to secure a better offer through their own bank, assuring me that it would only require a "soft" credit inquiry, which wouldn't affect my credit report. After waiting in her office for over 45 minutes, I had to leave and asked her to call me with the offer. Shortly after, the credit manager called and presented an offer with a 13.5% APR. However, after doing some calculations, I discovered the actual APR was 18.8%. To make matters worse, instead of a soft inquiry, they conducted credit shopping, resulting in six "hard" inquiries on my credit report, which will remain there until 2026. Despite Alfa Romeo's reputable brand, the experience with their used cars division has seriously tarnished that image for me."

"Our sales rep Alex Reid was terrific helping my son and I buy a used Subaru that we found listed online. I never thought I would be at a Maserati/Alpha dealership buying a used Subaru! But we got the same 5-star service as everyone else, walked in, greeted by Alex, offered drinks etc. while he got the car for a test drive. Five minutes later we shook hands on a deal that I never expected to get. Great price! He did this for us at 6 pm closing time on a Friday. On Monday the car was cleaned, prepped and ready to drive home with a very minor repair carefully attended to as promised. They handled all the paperwork, (cheapest doc fees I found anywhere too) and made it very simple.
