"We walked in at 8:30 on a Saturday night and Hannah was behind the counter. Super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Ordered: Fried chicken sandwich Fish tacos Cod croquettes SLT Shallot dusted fries Burger and fries Reallllllly wanted to love the food. The vibes were great, service was solid but the food fell short of expectations. Everything seemed to be made using fresh ingredients but nothing was salted. The only inkling of savoriness came from the sauces that garnished the food. Shallot fries left something to be wanted. I guess shallot dusted really means dusted. The shallot powder was caked onto the already soggy fries. The SLT gave no indication that it was a wrap, we thought we were getting a sandwich. Fish tacos were great! No complaints. Cod croquettes and buttermilk fried chicken sandwich were without salt. Good execution but missing a very key ingredient…. It’s a shack and this it needs to be reviewed as such, It’s not a restaurant or a gastropub. It will quickly provide food during times of hunger with friendly service and a smile. 5-star average joint all things considered but could have blown us away if the food was incredible."

"We picked up two fried chicken sandwiches and the amazing shallot dusted fries to go on our way to airport. Our food was ready when we arrived (we called ahead but I think you can also order through ChowNow) and Ian was great making sure we had everything we needed like utensils, forks etc. We were pleasantly surprised that the sandwich held up even though we didn’t eat until a little ways into our trip. The chicken was perfectly fried and crispy, the lettuce was fresh and even the bun was in great shape. Really appreciated the large parking lot because we were in such a rush and perfect location to jump back on the road without wasting time looking for parking."

"What a great surprise, the food was delicious and Ian the owner made it feel like you were eating at a friend's house. The food was nicely prepared, make sure you stop by and try the lamb on pita or beet salad with fish."

"While North Fork Shack is called a shack, it clearly is not a shack with Bentley sedans parked out front while their owners stop for a bite. The menu is quite refined with some great choices. The specials are fantastic too. We ordered the cod croquettes, but they were out so they allowed us to substitute with the Buffalo Mahi bites which were amazing. The New England Clam Chowder is also tasty and has tons of clams. The eggplant hummus with plantain chips was also terrific. Overall a great meal and definitely recommend."

"We finally made it to The North Fork Shack and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Pulled Chicken Tacos which were amazing, great flavor and the chipotle aioli was tasty. The Plantain Chips were lightly salted and delicious. The Butternut Squash Soup was light and smooth with toasted pumpkin seeds on top. The vibe was casual and the staff was kind. I would definitely recommend checking it out. They are closed for the winter but open again in March."
