"A few weeks ago, four of us went for dinner. We ordered three family sized entrees to share. Chicken francaise, shrimp in pink sauce and fried calamari over Caesar salad. The first two entrees arrived on large oval plates and large shareable portions. The calamari over salad came in a small lunch size dish (31 dollars). Both the waiter and manager insisted this was dinner sized. Since we are not stupid we will never go back there. We felt cheated at today's prices."
"Food was awesome. Service was alittle slow. It was a Friday night. Place was crowded. It was raining and the ceiling was leaking over our table and was dripping on me. I moved to seat on other side of table. Manager noticed and came over and offered to move our table. We declined. I feel he should have comped my drink or something but whatever. That's why I didnt 5 star it across the board. Still a delicious dinner and nice experience."
"This was our third time dining at Butera’s. The prior two times were for parties, this time for dinner. Buteras is very nice. The atmosphere is very very comfortable, can be a little noisy depending on clientele, but, that’s to be expected. The restaurant is very clean and the food is exceptional. Meals are served family style, good menu options, and good drink menu. Service: Our waitress was very good. She was very attentive and provided good service overall. I didn’t get her name unfortunately, but, looked like all patrons were satisfied with the level of service they were receiving. They quality of the food was exceptional. Very tasty. We had eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and a fried calamari appetizer. I had a drink called the “key lime”. Oh! And bread baskets, yes two, were brought to the table at the beginning. Pleasant decor, clean and friendly, and very welcoming. We will be dining here again when we’re in town."
"Butera's in Sayville has been a family favorite for many years. Everything from the tasty appetizers such as Shrimp Scampi Limoncello and Mozzarella with Tomato, to the entrées (Marsala, Francese, Chicken, Pasta Dishes, and Specials) are great. The sauces are thick and have a ton of flavor, very delicious. Comfortable family or couples atmosphere with friendly, helpful waitstaff. Service was a bit delayed due to what it seemed like the kitchen being backed up on our last visit, but it all worked out, and we still enjoyed our meal. Will return again in the future and definitely recommend you try Butera's of Sayville if you have yet to!"
"Amazing lunch with huge portions at an affordable price! We got the grilled shrimp salad, mushroom asparagus and grilled chicken salad, and rigatoni alla rosa. The salad was perfectly dressed! The shrimp was slightly over cooked but till enjoyable. It also had 2 slices of bread that were really really hard which is I think their version of a crouton. We did ask for bread and it came with some olive oil. Definitely coming back for more affordable and delicious meal options! FYI - Costco sells gift cards here at a cheaper price!"
