"Although I understand that unexpected events can occur, I believe the situation could have been handled better. Following excellent reviews, I decided to try this restaurant. We entered the restaurant and noticed the warm temperature and waitress welcomed us from the bar. We placed our drink orders after seating ourselves at a table. Mid-conversation, I noticed the temperature rising. Unfortunately, the air conditioner had stopped working hours earlier, but the waitress failed to inform us until our meals were ordered. On a sweltering 90-degree day, my date and I had no choice but to wait for our meals. Suddenly, there was a power surge. We sat through loud beeping for several minutes then the power went out, and we were left in the dark, sweating profusely. We overheard one of the waiters saying, this happens often in their restaurant. To our dismay, the waitress informed us that it was time to close, even though we were still finishing up our meals. We still had plenty of time left. We deserved to be treated better than that. To make matters worse, it was cash only due to the power outage. We had just enough cash to cover the cost of our food, but we were unable to leave a ‘generous’ tip. I am extremely disappointed with the waitress’ bad attitude and the experience, overall."
"Today I was honored at work for 25 years of service. If you know who I am you know that I love working at Farmingdale State College. I am honored to be an alum and an employee. When I arrived home my family said they're taking me out for dinner. We went to our partner down in Patchogue Whiskey Neat ... We started the meal off by ordering two cocktails. I had a ordered a whiskey old fashioned. Was made well, and was awesome. We started we started the meal with wings. They are a chilly sauce which was so good. There are a few flavors that I love on wings and chili sauce is one of them. The wings were meeting and full of flavor and a nice size portion. Kenny of course had a buffalo sauce Wing which wasn't even on the menu. They just made it for him. My daughter ordered the best chicken on the block my daughter said it was good and would order again. She also ordered an order of fingerling potatoes which came with a garlic aioli sauce which was out of this world. We ordered a side of fries to go with the wings and they are so good there. The family tried the French onion soup and other than the Rosemary Sprague that my daughter ate she said it was really good. My burger that I ordered was phenomenal and came with a thick slab of bacon cooked perfectly to a temp of medium rare. So messy and delicious I couldn't be happier. The bartender did not have unsweet iced tea so she actually brewed a cup of tea and then poured it over ice. She didn't have to do this but suggested it and didn't mind creating it and Vikki was happy. When a bartender is willing to do something like that although it seems like a simple task it takes extra time. That is above and beyond for me and appreciated Have a great little seating area out front that I can definitely see myself grabbing a drink and just sitting there and people watch. Next time you're in the area definitely check them out and and make sure you mention the page. Discount was given without even bringing it up and I absolutely love the decor. I can't wait to explore their whiskey list. I hear they have an amazing deal on Wednesday that I'm hoping the owner will come in and explain."
"Whiskeyneat never disappoints. I dine there regularly but had the pleasure of working with them on planning a private dinner to take my staff out. Our table was ready upon arrival, Jon & Sania were kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. Everything came out of the kitchen perfectly, I wish I took more pictures. Their salads, wings and weekly specials are always delicious. We are a group of hospitality professionals so our expectations are usually pretty high. We had a six o’clock reservation, had plenty of time for our meal and drinks then stayed to enjoy the DJ. Always a great experience all around. Thanks, whiskeyneat!"
"Annmarie was great, very knowledgeable about the drinks and food served and pleasant to talk with. I personally had the mahi tacos which were perfectly done. Friends had the house burgers and loved the pork belly added on. If you come here you HAVE to get the side of fries. The sauce that comes with the fries as it is absolutely phenomenal. Delicious to the point where I wish they sold the sauce. As in, sell the sauce and I’ll order it. All in all a very enjoyable experience, will stop by again in the future if we’re in the area."
"I had an unforgettable experience at this restaurant that beautifully marries diverse culinary inspirations in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The 'about us' statement perfectly encapsulates the essence of this place. It's a culinary journey that takes you from the finest dining experiences to the comfort of grandma's kitchen, with a dash of whiskey-infused charm. During my visit, I couldn't help but reminisce about my trip to New Orleans, especially my visit to the Sazerac distillery. The bartender at this location skillfully crafted cocktails that transported me back to that vibrant time in my life. Speaking of cocktails, the Montauk lemonade drink was an absolute delight. Its refreshing taste and well-balanced flavors were the perfect start to my meal. But what truly stole the show was the buttermilk chicken sandwich. It was a mouthwatering masterpiece, boasting tender, flavorful chicken that left me craving for more. I also tried the baby kale salad, and it was a pleasant surprise. The combination of fresh ingredients and a well-crafted dressing made for a satisfying and healthy side dish that paired wonderfully with the indulgent chicken sandwich. If you're in search of a memorable dining experience, don't miss out on the Montauk lemonade and the scrumptious buttermilk chicken sandwich. It's the kind of place that brings you back to cherished memories, just as it did for me with my New Orleans journey.""
