5 Brothers Fried Chicken & Waffles

"Felt rushed. Otherwise the food presentation and the look of it was good . As for the service there was a bunch of Extra FEES the guy had to put into the system at the end of the transaction … charged me for the bag they packed my food in …I’m not sure what all I was charged for when I ended up paying 20$ for a 3 piece chicken and waffle with one of those smaller cokes that aren’t the regular sized 20oz… wasn’t an option to not get the bag… when I reviewed the receipt none of the fees were visible just the charge that made it come out to the price it became……….the chicken looked awesome and tasted great until later on… the French fries that came with the meal were tasty and put in an awful bag designed to keep heat in but not the fry’s crispy in any way… the waffle that comes with the chicken and waffles is huge in size not in width.. very soggy waffle tasty but not solid in any form although fully cooked…. My biggest problem with the food came 3 hours later when I became sick from food poisoning or cross contamination…. I wasn’t the only person to get sick from the chicken and waffles that was eaten I was simply the first …"

"I been on a chicken kick for a while now... Having family and ordering all the time.. I am stuck in on oxygen can't leave. Anyway placed an order for 5 chicken breast. I wrote in the notes also.. I received 1 breast. Very sad! I do not eat any other parts.. only breast. I picked some skin off but now that's all garbage after paying $30.."

"Since we happen to be down in Patchogue and wanted something quick we decided to stop for the greatest fried chicken in the entire world. Is it the greatest fried chicken in the entire world probably not I've had some down south that's been better but on Long Island I don't think anything is better. We stopped off at 5 Brothers Fried Chicken & Waffles It is a very small place with an absolutely horrible parking lot but the people that work there and the chicken more than make up for it. The waffles are fresh made every single time. They had plenty of chicken in the heater but ask me if I would mind waiting a couple of extra minutes for fresh fried. Clearly I did not mind at all. We ordered a meal that contained 15 pieces of chicken four sides four waffles and a whole bunch of happiness. While waiting I spoke to one of the four brothers that were present. I asked him where the fifth brother was and he explained that I am the fifth brother. He explained that the other one was home but they want all their customers to feel like family so I got to be the honorary fifth brother lol We bought 15 pieces of chicken because we decided that we would have lunch at home but four of the pieces didn't make it to the house. They're chicken is cooked well juicy and delicious. My family prefers dark meat so they let us switch it without any problem. If you're ever in the area and you decide that you want great fried chicken check them out. If anybody knows any other places that make fried chicken comparable or better tell me and I will check them out. I love fried chicken"

"When I bite into the chicken from 5 Brothers it tastes exactly like Kansas. I love NY but amazing fried chicken and classic comfort food sides are not easy to find. I’m working my way through all the sides on the menu. The chicken and waffles are amazing. The chicken has a little bit of sweetness in the batter which pairs well with the vinegar based hot sauce they serve on the side and with the waffles. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and curly fries are all great. This time I ordered the sweet corn nuggets and they were delicious."

"Best waffles in town, hands down.Any time your in the area you have to spot inside 5 brothers Fried Chicken & Waffles.This place is becoming a long island landmark!The Fish is flawless, and the waffles are one of a kind. Waffles are a must order here. Everything on the menu is perfect, just not the mac and cheese. The chicken and waffles is definitely the crème de la crème of New York."
