"I recently visited this McDonald's to grab a coffee. After ordering, I stepped outside to take a call due to the noise inside. Despite being outside for less than 7 minutes, my car was towed away. I wasn't the only one – I witnessed several other customers facing the same issue. How can they tow away a customer's car who just ordered from them? After going to the police and getting no help, I had to create a scene in their parking lot and threaten legal action before they agreed to release my car. This ordeal caused me significant emotional distress and wasted three hours of my time. It's clear this is an organized scam between the McDonald's manager and the towing company. They even had someone in the parking lot (cf the black car attached) monitoring customers, ready to call the towing company as soon as someone stepped away from their car. The towing company owner even made me sign an agreement not to sue either him or McDonald's in exchange for releasing my car without payment. Who does that? Don't pay them a penny if they tow your car. Instead, contact your lawyer and consider legal action. McDonald's needs to investigate this franchise – the people working there are engaging in fraudulent and unethical practices."
