"This casual fast food eatery is located inside Flatbush Market so there is no real vibe, which is fine. I ordered the red snapper sandwich with everything and a complimentary side salad. It was decent. Upon first bite it was 5 star, but as I went on it dwindled to a 3. The strong pickelz flavor needed something to balance it out, like an avocado or some sauce. Everything tasted like picklez!! Also, the flavorless sweet plantain bun was a bit hard so I decided to eat it in pieces instead. It would be nice to have the option to select a softer plantain based bread instead of fried flatten plantain. The sandwich cost $21 which wasnt bad b/c they did not skimp on the red snapper, however, the flavor of the red snapper + the pickelz left an overwhelming sour aftertaste. Despite the pickelz flavor, I would love to return to try other options like the fries with a protein option."
"I came from Long Island and was excited to try plantain sandwiches from this restaurant, given that I've been seeing them on Instagram for a while and I like their concept. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a Bunnan employee named Aviana. She was very kind and recommended that I try the Sweet-Plantain boat with jerk chicken. It was delicious! The flavor and spice in the jerk chicken were amazing, and I enjoyed it so much that I ordered another one for later. I highly recommend it, 10/10."
"I’ve been seeing this restaurant on Instagram for a while and since I love their concept, I decided to try these famous plantain sandwiches. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the sampler of which you can choose from four types of meat. My favorite was the pork and the tassot. What was less to be desired was the service because the young lady and young men that served us, looked like they were not happy to be working. They did not greet my mom or I and I was reluctant to ask any questions. I suggest that the owner hire individuals that are not rough/rude but pleasant and helpful. All in all, it was a nice experience because mom and I walked around the building while waiting for the fresh food to be ready. We talked to the kiosk owners who were selling all types of Caribbean goods. If you want to eat some Haiti food, I recommend this place"
