"Oxtail was good. But a bit expensive, $57.56"
"I regret to say that my recent experiences at Pick n Pay have left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, quite literally. Although the staff members are undeniably sweet and friendly, it pains me to admit that the repeated presence of plastic particles in my food has severely affected my perception of this otherwise promising restaurant. Having been a regular customer, I had developed a fondness for their menu however, my excitement quickly waned after encountering plastic in my porridge and soup not once, but twice. This alarming consistency raises serious concerns about the restaurant's quality control measures and overall hygiene practices. This reflects a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. It leaves me wondering how such a basic mistake could be made and why it was not rectified after the first incident. Furthermore, these reoccurring incidents have made me question the overall cleanliness and safety of the restaurant's food preparation area. To regain my trust and the trust of other diners, I implore the owners to take immediate action and thoroughly review their food preparation processes. Enhancing quality control measures, improving staff training, and implementing rigorous checks for foreign objects in food are just a few steps that could help prevent such unpleasant incidents in the future. As a longtime patron, I sincerely hope that Pick n pay takes this feedback constructively and endeavors to rectify the situation promptly. Until then, I am left with no choice but to reconsider my patronage and advise others to exercise caution when dining at this establishment.."
"I only came here because the Soldier's Restaurant is closed today. The macaroni pie tasted sweet and sour, like it went bad. And Jamaicans need to stop making macaroni pie. The cheese to macaroni ratio is ALWAYS off; Cheese on top and noodles on the bottom. I give the dish a 0. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The cheese on the top was rubbery. I asked the lady if the chicken soup had dumpling and she said yes. I'm here digging for dumpling and all I get is 1 dumpling in a large chicken soup. The taste was decent. I give it a 2 out of 5. I only ate a couple of bites of chicken and the 1 dumpling. They also didn't give me a spoon, just a fork to eat the macaroni. The sorrel drink was also expired. I didn't notice until I got home. The currant roll was was okay. I give it a 2 out of 5 This was my first time here and it will be my last. Eastern Parkway need more Caribbean restaurants like Flatbush. I don't think this restaurant will be here for long judging by the quality of the food. It was a waste of $22."
