"I used to be sad that Chow King was gone but this place has brought getting Pho sooo much closer to home that I look forward to coming back as much as possible! Everyone here and the service has been great. I’ve been here already 3-4x and will definitely be back for more! Parking is available but dependent on the time because everyone comes out around noon especially on the weekend."
"We were disappointed with their food during the grand opening (perhaps because it’s so packed & busy and we came in late around 8 pm. We had to request the grilled porkchop to be reheated since it wasn’t hot when it was served). We came back last Saturday to give them a second chance. We came in during non-busy hours (around 2:30 pm) and true enough, it wasn’t as busy and packed as the grand opening day. We were treated to a great meal & service. We ordered our usual go-to pho soup & grilled pork chop. Our server (I forgot to get her name) was very friendly and welcoming. She checked on us from time to time if we needed something. Also she gave us a free taste of a new dessert on their menu which I believe is called corn soup if I remember it right. We’ll be back again for sure."
"My experience at Pho Saigon in Jersey City was a mix of highs and lows. Conveniently located in my neighborhood, the restaurant boasts a clean atmosphere. Starting with the food, the menu offers a decent selection of Vietnamese dishes. I have visited twice now, opting for different dishes each time. The pork chop with fried rice had incredible flavor. The bo luc lac, though I would have preferred the meat to be a little more cooked, was something I would consider ordering again. However, the crispy pan-fried noodles were not to my taste. Service, though, was quite nice. The staff checked in every so often to ensure we were all set. However, my positive impression was marred by a significant issue with billing. When I finished dining, I checked the bill to ensure that all of the items I ordered were on there, but I did not take the time to calculate each line on my bill. To my dismay later that evening, I discovered that I had been charged twice for my entrees instead of an upcharge for the modification to my meal. It was close to 10pm when I called, and was advised to come to the restaurant the next day. While the staff promptly rectified the error upon my bringing it to their attention, I was relieved and appreciated their swift correction. Nevertheless, this billing mishap was an inconvenience that detracted from an otherwise smooth dining experience and makes me concerned about dining there again. For an area lacking in many sit-down restaurants, I would recommend giving Pho Saigon a try if you have not already. However, my biggest recommendation is to pay close attention to the bill before you pay"
"New and very busy when I went here. I came in around noon. The place was busy at that time but was not disappointed in the food. The Pho was great and the spring rolls were crispy and juicy. The avocado shake was a nice desert to have in the end. Will definitely eat here again."
"Finally , some decent Vietnamese food in the vicinity. Went on Grand Opening day and again since and the food is pretty darn good. The service for now is still a little hit or miss because they are new but I think once things settle it’ll be 100%. The people are great and super friendly it’s just the speed of getting follow-up service and the check was taking awhile. But again lovely people. First day we had the Pho and Bo Luc Lac . 10/10 for the deliciousness . Second time we tried the Bun Bo Hue and something not authentically Vietnamese (general tso chicken) and that was Bomb !!! So crispy and tender . The Salt Baled squid was a must. I wished the portion on the chicken was like two or three pieces more :) Their banh mi Saigon was ok , will come back and try the grilled pork one soon. Don’t sleep on the drinks tho! Avocado shake and Sugarcane juice is out of this world and of course the go to Cafe Sua Da. Give them a try, definitely a great addition to the area! EDIT: Their avocado shakes are no longer fresh and I was told it’s powder (like bubble tea drinks) and has absolutely no flavor. Very disappointed that I paid $8 for blended powder milk."
