"I didn't like the lamb kabab. It was over powered by the red cabbage mix. Was more of a salad on a pita. I had to leave half of it behind, could not eat it. The lamb burgers was disappointing too. They were overcooked hockey pucks. I asked for them to be prepared medium rare, and they were well done. It was also bland, the burgers could use more seasoning or some sauce. They didn't have half the desserts on the menu, so will have to try them next time. The menu/store is a bit confusing. I thought it was a Mediterranean place, and got excited but it was more of a juice bar/salad bar. It's as if they have two restaurants in one small place. More of a take out, they have 3 small tables for two. I guess they are catering to the college students in the area."

"A TASTE OF THE PALACE definitely gets our 5 star review. From the excellent friendly service provided by our host Yousef to the delectable food! I wanted to buy everything when we walked in and saw how sparkly clean this restaurant is. The food, juices and smoothies are prepared fresh, on the spot. Our son just returned from service overseas and wanted lamb and chicken over rice. We placed take out for the Family and everyone was delighted. Definitely taking them in person to choose from the delicious menu. A favorite lunch/dinner spot for NYPD officers adds to the ambience too. We will be back Yousef! Louis & Donna Mods"

"Taste of the Palace is SO good!! One of our fave spots in Riverdale. Highly recommend their chicken kebab and fatoush salad. Also, their white sauce is so delicious, it's creamy but not too heavy and pairs perfectly with the chicken. We had our friends over from Jersey, many being Middle Eastern, and we ordered from here and they were all raving about how delicious and authentic the food was! Everything is made on the spot so you know you're getting fresh food. If you're like me and like consistency, this is one of those places where you know you're getting the same quality, delicious meal every time. Will be coming back again and again."

"We ordered delivery from Taste of the Palace last night and were blown away! Delicious, authentic food. Super fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the chicken over rice and lamb/hummus platter. I could drink the sauce they put on the chicken and rice, it is that good. Highly recommend."

"Great little place in Riverdale. Excellent food, service/staff were friendly, and you can really taste all the flavours like fresh parsley in the Kofte. The mixed Palace kebab was our favourite plate. The Kibbe were excellent with crunch, not oily, and juicy well seasoned meat inside. The falafels were good as well. The chicken kebab was soft and juicy with a good marinade. We only did a takeaway due to social distancing rules, but the portions were well sized and packed with care. We did also order a Chicken sandwich Sharwarma as well, which was okay. Overall the food tasted like a freshly made homemade meal. Not something that was reheated on the griddle like most places."
