About the Business
Welcome to the Sardinia Historical Society, a unique dining experience located at 12070 Savage Road, Sardinia, New York. Nestled in the heart of our historic town, our restaurant offers more than just delicious food—it provides a rich tapestry of local history and culture.
Our establishment is deeply rooted in the heritage of Sardinia, a town named by early settler Ezra Nott after his favorite hymn. We are proud to be part of a community that cherishes its past, as exemplified by the Sardinia Meeting House. Originally constructed in 1829 as the First Baptist Church of Sardinia, this architectural gem is one of the oldest religious structures still standing in Western New York. Despite modern additions like a basement and dormer, the building's exterior has remained largely unchanged, preserving its historical charm.
At the Sardinia Historical Society, we are committed to supporting and preserving our local history. Thanks to funding from the Greater Hudson Heritage Network (GHHN), we have enhanced our museum supplies and consultation efforts. Additionally, our ongoing painting project is supported by generous funding from Erie County.
Join us for a meal and immerse yourself in the rich history of Sardinia. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, our restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere where the past and present come together. We look forward to serving you and sharing the stories of our beloved town.
