The Silo

"Have visited the Silo a few times now with my family. Food is good. Chicken sandwich is amazing. French fries are so good. Unfortunately for the price, I can't see giving this place a solid recommendation. I get the tourist influx and short staffing issues all places face but the last two times we've been here, the deck on the silo over looking the river has wet standing puddles of sludge and tables are not kept clean. My kiddos always come away with stains in their clothes from something on the seats. It's good food, but paying $13 for just a chicken sandwich and yes you're sitting over the river, but then the dining area should be kept more clean. Or maybe add some side with the sandwich. Service was good. Just rating low because of the cleanliness."

"Did not disappoint. This entire area is very well kept. The staff was all teenagers that obviously didn’t have a lot of customer service experience but they did “ok”. My daughter wanted a water with her kids meal and the cashier added a $5 bottle water and gave her an empty cup for the soda fountain. A wasted $5. The food was delicious! The view was amazing. You should take time to read the historical plaques it’s quite interesting."

"The view and he French fries were amazing. My gluten free burger was also really lovely. However, I can’t understand why a restaurant of that calibre with such great food manages to have so dirty washrooms. The back of the toilets hadn’t been cleaned in fore over and dirt was stuck on it. The sinks were stained…"

"What a stunning location! I have really been sleeping in Lewiston even though I only live 30 minutes away! This place really caught my eye because I was looking for a quick bite and a nice view with my meal. The fries are absolutely amazing, the salmon burger I got was good but nothing spectacular, the location was everything. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try more of the food!"

"Beautiful views and cool breezes while we ate! Our food was delicious! Generous portion size (shareable) on sweet potato fries. There was a lot of meat on the Haystack-husband enjoyed!"
