"We came in on a rainy Monday while vacationing in the Thousand Islands, after being recommended by some people we met at our resort. To start, the place is adorable and welcoming, with lots of things to look at and purchase. We went to the back counter to check out a menu and order some lunch for ourselves and our 4 year old. The young man standing behind the counter seemed a bit aloof and generally confused. We asked if there was a kids menu (there was nothing or kids on the regular menu at the counter), and he said, slowly and unsure-sounding "there is...um, I can remember two things that are on it, grilled cheese and chicken tenders," which was a bit strange, but we rolled with it and ordered the grilled cheese instead of asking for the full list of options. He then pointed to a list of items at the counter that they were out of, all of which were parts of just about anything we wanted to eat (turkey, bacon, avocado, to name a few). That threw a wrench into what we both wanted, so he just stared at us while we looked at the menus to decide on a plan B. I decided to go with the buffalo chicken wrap despite them being out of bacon, and my husband got a panini. Our son picked out a beautiful sugar cookie shaped like an ice cream cone, which was $5.75! I am all for paying for the work behind those beautiful cookies, but almost $6 is STEEP, even for that. We grabbed a table and waited. Our food came out, and my wrap was thrown together and the contents were spilling out, and the ranch was missing. My husband went to ask for ranch, and was gone for a good 5 minutes. The staff appeared confused, and had to look all over for it (which would explain why it never ended up on my wrap). While we sat, I saw a couple of quite unhappy looking male staff members walk past to use the bathroom, and one with an apron on was not in there long enough to have washed his hands. I went back up to get us a couple of drinks from the fridge, and stood there for a good minute while some more young-appearing people stood at the register looking at cash/bills from the drawer and discussing it, for some unknown reason, before they asked if they could help me. Overall, this is a super cute place with lots of charm in a great location. The food was overall tasty, but very pricy ($60 for two adults and a child for lunch), and the staff seemed under-trained and aloof. We will likely give them another chance, but judging by other reviews, I don't think it was a fluke."
"Love the atmosphere, but the food side is lacking. We have eaten there 3 times this summer and last and none of our orders were correct in the fact that they run out of ingredients! $30 for lunch to get a veggie wrap with just lettuce and a salad with the same doesn't cut it! Maybe this happening one time is a fluke, but every time? Maybe it's time to run to the grocery store and replenish. Unfortunately, I ordered my last meal there today."
"Was really excited to try this place out, it has a wonderful atmosphere but the food and service left us feeling very disappointed. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches on bagels, 1 toasted bagel with butter, 1 avocado toast and 3 cafe beverages. Drinks were ready within a few minutes and everyone liked them. However it took about 30 minutes to get our food which would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that the food was so blah. The bagels for the breakfast sandwiches were not toasted and the eggs were overcooked, the "toasted" bagel with butter was not toasted and the avocado "toast" was on a 2 pieces of untoasted bread. Not sure what the issue was but after trying to hunt down someone and get their attention for over 10 minutes we sucked it up, ate what we could and left as we were on a bit of a time crunch. Willing to give them another shot and hoping this was a one time fluke."
"This was by far my favorite place to visit during our vacation. Such a neat establishment! The food and drinks were delicious. I could definitely spend a great deal of time here."
