"I was refereed to this company by DJI for a drone repair after experiencing a battery malfunction mid-flight. Most of the drone was operational but the camera broke and needed to be fixed. I payed over $600 for this repair and upon receiving the device back, I found out that the camera still did not work. I tried to contact the company via phone and multiple e-mail addresses but got no response. I finally had to submit another work order and I now have to send the drone back. The entire process is a gamble and if you live out of state, it is a complete gamble/hostage situation in regards to getting back your property. It is fair to say that there is no human interaction with this company. Hopefully others have a better experience."
"While the drone community continues to grow, these guys continue to provide a great service. Although some complain about the length it might take to accomplish a drone repair, I have to heavily disagree. I have a feeling that they haven't dealt with the DJI repair center. Once I realized where STC was located and the work they did, I brought my drone in. I had it out within 24 hours and spent close to nothing in labor. Since our "in house" drones have had plenty of spills in the past few months of travel, I've been back. Every single time I have been satisfied. At times, the drone requires a lengthy assessment. However, I am given honest and clear information on how I should handle each repair. I have had some experience buying items here as well. Occasionally, I'll look around and find an item that is highly discounted and will grab it. So, in no way can I complain about that. Bottom line, the best, if not the only place to get your drone fixed without shipping outside of NYC. Friendly staff and dedicated work."
"This is some of the best customer service I have ever had. I never take the time to write on good customer service... that is probably because good customer service is just about non-existent. That is until I came across STC NYC. I sent in a repair that went fine. It was done in a timely manner and the cost seemed in line. The second time I contacted them I crashed my Phantom 3 in a pretty major crash and it would not start back up. I called to explain the situation hoping to get it sent in ASAP as to get it back ASAP. I was expecting about a 10 day turnaround. However, on the call the tech worked with me understanding what happened and looking for possible causes. He even took the time to walk me through steps and review the outcome. His recommendation corrected my problem on my Phantom 3 and I am back flying. This is what I call EXCELLENT customer service! "The worst customer service of my life! and I have dealt with many computer and electronics company in the past 30 years. These guys are the lowest of the low when it comes to customer care. They had my drone for a minor camera adjustment for weeks. The drone was only a few weeks old, with 1 year warranty. During the time they dad it, I called numerous times to find out how are they doing with repairs, never got a call back, never got a reply to my emails. Finally, the manager ask for over $600 for all kind of repair he said he has done, when I told him my drone didn't have those issues, he said he thought I was someone else. Then he said my cost is $260 because DJI (the manufacturer) doesn't cover the labor!!! After I refused to pay for under warranty work, he demand that I pay for shipping the unpaired drone back to me, even then he waited for another 8 days to ship it. I got nothing but lies, and insults from them, or at best, I was ignored. I give them "-F" grade. DJI has grade products, too bad they chose this shop as their authorized dealer."
"Started off with my initial phone call was told $200 to replace the body of my drone and a 48 hour turn around. That sounded great and mailed them the drone the next day, they received on a Tuesday. after a few days a called them to find out why know one ever contacted me about my drone I sent them for repair, he stated they are very behind and not sure when they can get to it after I told him the man on the phone told me 48 hour turn around he laughed and said that is when it hits the table. I waited another week on nothing so I called them again this time they cannot find my machine after about 20 minutes they called me back to let me know they have found it (I mean holy crap). So at this point the man on the phone apologized and said he would call back that day with an estimate, well 2 days had passed and no call so I called them back. Your machine is fixed they told me, well I never received a call with the estimate for repairs I hope its not more than I was quoted over the phone and thank goodness it was not. so total time 2 weeks to get my drone back after numerous calls from me I am 100% convinced if I didn't make all those calls I would probably still be waiting on my machine to arrive. But wait theres more, after receiving my drone back I went to put the battery in and would not go in all the way after removing it a screw fell out, one of the front red lights don't work and cannot read the images on the image card inside the camera. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I will now need to send this off again to hopefully get fixed correctly. Thanks For Nothing!!!"
