"What a waste of time! My wife and I had been wanting to try this place so we stopped, along with daughter and granddaughter, after a day at the zoo. It was well within the listed hours but there was a sign saying they'd reopen at 4:05 (it was now 4:15) even though there were 3 employees cooking and putting previous orders together. So after a few min I asked when we could order and was told they'd be closed for another HOUR for shift change and to reset (or something like that!) We couldn't wait nor would we obviously for that long. We live an hr away and safe to say we won't be back. The menu LOOKED good! Hard to support black owned businesses like this"

"I'm from Texas, and this is some of the best Southern Food I've had above the Mason Dixon. The people were super friendly, they have real Sweet Tea, and the Mustard Fried Chicken, Greens, and Mac & Cheese were phenomenal. Next time I'm in Syracuse I'll definitely be back!"

"This was my first time visiting the salt city Market, and it was a good experience. I got the fried chicken plate with Mac and cheese and yams as the side. It was all tasty, especially the yams! The chicken was crispy, which was great, but the meat itself was a little dry, which would be my only complaint. The service was great and friendly. I plan on coming back and trying something different, and I would recommend visiting!"
