"Possum lodge is a picturesque cabin with total privacy surrounded by beautiful woods with an easily hiked path throughout. We enjoyed a 3 day weekend at the end of September. Calm, quiet, mornings on the large porch, evening by the fire pit were very relaxing! A gorgeous sunset in the evening and a sky full of stars at night. All essentials were provided. The cabin was very clean and the furniture comfortable. Grill and fireplace ready to use. Everything was so charming and cozy! Clean and comfy. Warm and dry even when it rained an entire day! We had the opportunity to meet the man who built and tends to the cabin. We enjoyed talking with him as well as Desiree prior to our stay. Nice friendly people! We have stayed in another cabin before but this is our favorite and we will definitely be returning! Thanks so much! - Tim & Suzzy"
"We had a great time at Possum Lodge Cabin. We took 4 days the first week of May to kick back and relax and do some fishing at Piedmont Lake. This was the place to do just that. Just 10 minutes from the Piedmont Marina and the cabin was a beautiful and peaceful place to relax. We had our daughter and her family come and join us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. We visited the Boss Buffalo Ranch and the Grandkids absolutely loved it. Great vacation! Harlen & Linda"
"One of the best XMAS getaways we've had. The cabin was very nicely decorated, and clean, and cozy/comfortable. Accommodated the six of us without issue. The property (64 wooded acres) is ideal for hiking, as well as the Buckeye Trail following along this property's road down to Piedmont Lake, then along the lake shore for almost five miles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to next year."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Possum Lodge and found all to be as you stated when we arrived. It was clean and well-appointed with all the comforts of home without compromising the essence of a true log cabin. Although the inside was very impressive we would have only been in to sleep and use the restroom had there been a TV on the back deck - what a great place to unwind with a beer, a few cigars and a variety of meats for the grill! The fire-pit area was also a great place to unwind after a quick hike on the trails. Nancy was a pleasure to work with and easily accessible. The Amish buggy that delivered our firewood and the humming birds were icing on the cake!"
