Rocky Run Ravine
About the Business
Welcome to Rocky Run Ravine, a serene and picturesque park nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania. Managed by the French Creek Valley Conservancy, a private 501(c)3 accredited non-profit land trust, Rocky Run Ravine is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the exceptional water quality, natural habitat, biological diversity, and recreational opportunities of the French Creek Watershed in Northwest Pennsylvania.
About French Creek Valley Conservancy:
The French Creek Valley Conservancy (FCVC) is committed to protecting and stewarding the French Creek Watershed, which is nationally recognized as one of the most biologically significant waterways in the United States. French Creek is home to an astonishing 27 species of native freshwater mussels and over 80 species of fish. The watershed not only boasts rich historical significance but also offers wonderful recreational opportunities for the community.
Annual French Creek Cleanup Event:
Since 1992, the French Creek Cleanup has been a cherished tradition, bringing together hundreds of volunteers each year to show their love for the river and the land. What began as a small gathering of friends has now grown into the largest day of stewardship in the watershed, and FCVC’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Participants collect trash from designated locations in the morning and bring it to the Cambridge Springs Fairgrounds between 11 am and 3 pm. Teams and individuals compete for prizes, including the coveted traveling hellbender trophy and cash awards for schools with the most participants.
This event is made possible by the generosity of our corporate sponsors, and all funds raised go toward ensuring we can continue to care for the land we’ve conserved for generations to come.
New This Year:
Limited supply of T-shirts will be available for pickup at the picnic after 11 am on a first-come, first-served basis. No early pickups.

"Great place to take a walk in the words. Open to the public you access the area through the neighbor’s driveway address for gps: 20292 Cochranton Road, Meadville, PA 16335 Property is bordered by a barbed wire fence, down in some spaces. Steep incline and ravine area, the name is apt as a Rocky Ravine! There is a small picnic shelter and table, a few benches, that remain in place from the family who owned the area before it was donated to the French Creek Conservancy. The stream runs under the highway as a direct tributary to French Creek."
