The Erie Regional Library Foundation (ERLF) is a dedicated nonprofit organization located at 16 Blasco Street, Erie, Pennsylvania, 16507, United States. Established in 2000, ERLF serves as the sole philanthropic arm of the Erie County Public Library System. Our mission is to secure the necessary funding to build branch libraries and support dynamic new projects that keep our libraries innovative, adaptable, and ready to serve the community.
Our primary purpose is to maintain and expand the branch library system in Erie County by accepting charitable gifts and ensuring that funding is available for capital improvements. We are committed to ensuring the philanthropic support for the physical and operational future of the Erie County Public Library System, envisioning it as a vibrant community center that fosters civic development through education, opportunity, and technology.
Our organization was founded with the generous endowment from Dr. Raymond M. Blasco, a passionate library supporter, which enabled the initial operations of our 501(c)(3) organization. This endowment has allowed us to grow and evolve with our diverse community, funding the construction of new branches, renovating and maintaining established branches, and supporting a new Bookmobile. We also invest in strategic planning, entrepreneurship development, innovation, and technology projects to further enhance our services.
We invite you to support ERLF for Erie Gives on August 13th, 2024, from 12 am to 12 pm. Your contributions will help us continue our mission and ensure the Erie County Public Library System remains a dynamic and vibrant community center.
