"SJUSD Enrollment Center- updated building with disappointing archaic bureaucratic system. Free parking means no parking available most of the time. Lots of unnessary paperwork that can easily be attained by the district itself. It should not be difficult to know where people reside. Proof of residency should be easily be attainable from the city itself. There is online enrollment that still require you to show-up at the enrollement center to provide paperwork that can be easily uploaded online. Public Education is a right. Our tax dollars pay for the salaries of the employees of public institutions. Why should it be so difficult to enroll a child to a public school? There is a clear disconnect when we can have access to Uber, Amazon, Google, Facebook...etc... and we can't even get just the basic enrollement of children to school to be an easy, positive process. It took me three visits to the Enrollement center to finally get my daughter enrolled with the finally sending my white collar husband to drop off all the paperwork so that I don't have to wait 2 hours in line. The system needs to be upgraded to be more efficient reflecting on the current technological times here in the Silicon Valley. There should be an understanding that peoples' time is of value and should not be wasted and that the golden standard service is not limited only to white men."
