"Enrolled my daughter in this daycare with them knowing she is a high functioning autistic child who is always on the go. I voiced my worries with moving her into a bigger daycare many times with the director, owner and her teacher. I was told not to worry and she’ll adjust and they will work with her and teach her things to catch her up to her peers. My daughter has a ABA therapist who was going to come in and work with her as well. My daughter attended tiny tots for 1 week and 4 days before I was stopped at pick up stating that a “normal” daycare is not going to work for my daughter and that she needs to go to a center or fairhaven to meet her needs. Pretty much saying she was a distraction and taking away from other children. Now don’t get me wrong I appreciate the advice. But to say that to me a week and half of her attending is ignorant. My daughters ABA therapist did not even have a chance to come in and work with her before they wrote her off. Im not sure if my daughter was too much to handle or if they just didn’t want to deal with her. Whatever it was I hope they do better with the next autistic child they encounter. I heard nothing but good things about this daycare until I encountered them myself. I’m so disappointed and hurt by what was said to me. Then again I feel bad for them for letting my daughter go because she is smart and sweet and so loving. I suppose if you have a normal child this is a good place to take them but if your child has any special needs I’d rethink your options."
