"I would absolutely recommend Sir Speedy to anyone needing signage, business cards, etc. I stopped in on a Friday morning with my logo and sign requests, as I was going back and forth for almost a month with another company. Steve sent me a quote before the end of day. Had my visual proofs 2 days later which were exactly what I wanted. The signs were installed less than a week after that. Steve and Roy are both very professional, friendly and know what they are doing! Kudos as well to 84 Signs for the quick install. Also, their prices seriously cannot be beat! TY so much, guys!"
"I have mixed feelings about my experience with Sir Speedy Printing, but overall I am dissatisfied and I don’t think I’ll be returning. Two reasons: #1 I was charged more than double what I was quoted and #2 Steve was hard to work with. I had purchased envelopes with a special design on them, and needed a printing service to print each recipients address on the front of the envelope and my return address on the back flap. After reaching out to multiple businesses, I decided on Sir Speedy in Meadowlands, because their quote was the cheapest and they had great reviews. This is the quote they gave, VERBATIM, via email “Two sided they’re 15 cents each.” I had 86 envelopes, so the total would have been $12.90 (is how I understood it). My fiance picked them up and was charged almost $33 (after tax). When I called to ask why, Steve said he wasn’t sure who emailed me the quote (it was Steve that emailed me), and that it was 15 cents per side. For 86 envelopes at 30 cents, that’s only $25.80. So, I was charged almost $6 more than agreed upon. Which is not a lot of money, but it felt shady because it wasn’t adding up. They were not transparent about their pricing and what the extra charges were for. Had I known it would be almost $33, I would have used another printing business that gave me a cheaper quote. 7 of the 86 envelopes needed 2 lines for the recipient’s name because they were going to multi-family homes. I requested the 7 be done in a “2 separate line” format. Steve did not like this because he would have to manually format each of the 7 envelopes, rather than his printing program automatically formatting them for him. I get it, it would take a couple minutes for him to do each of the 7. But Steve was adamant that I shove all the names together on the first line, and do it how he wants and is easiest for him. Towards the end of our meeting he said that “since it’s not hundreds of envelopes” he could do the seven manually. I thanked him and went home and reformatted them on Excel to make it easier for him. We spoke via phone call the next day, and he asked why I didn’t merge all the names together because he “never agreed” to do the few envelopes that just needed a few extra minutes of attention. I felt like he was calling me a liar, after he said it wouldn’t be a big deal. Disheartening. He also said I couldn’t do the font I chose for the address portion (only the name portion), and he picked a font that he prefers for the addresses. I agreed to it, but was disappointed. I suggested that I would like the font size to be larger/more visible, he said “when it’s too big, it looks stupid.” I felt he was the professional, and I should listen to his direction. So, I went with his wishes. It felt like pulling teeth. It was his way or the highway for design choices. Overall: I got the envelopes back and the printing job is great! They were even packaged very nicely. They completed them insanely/impressively fast! I was so happy about that. However, the font is too small (as I suspected), it should have been larger. Also, I wish I would have insisted on the font I wanted for the addresses, not the ones he liked. I do feel that I was charged a little bit extra because Steve felt inconvenienced, and I would have been fine with the extra charges, had he been more transparent."
