"A part of the McKnight Village Community, this beautiful space is a wonderful place to be active and enjoy nature. There is a nice playground for kids, a field, pavillion, and paved loop around the field. The pics I am posting were taken during yoga classes I hosted with one of the Villagers who invited me to instruct an outdoor class at this beautiful hidden gem. Typically, this field is used and rented for many community activities e.g. baseball, soccer, summer camp etc., but with 2020 being atypical in regards to hosting such events, the villagers have found some others ways to use the space and enjoy summer with family and friends. For example, the first Pittsburgh FIA group, Fitness in Action, has held small group, outdoor fitness events, giving adults and kids an opportunity to engage in physical activity while maintaining necessary social distance. Currenty the park is maintained by several groups of people living within the village. Specifically, the McKnight Village Civic Association and the McKnight Women's Club, are two major groups who take charge of supporting and maintaining the space. Rental requests go through the MVCA."
"Parking isn't great, but there's a nice playground, ball field, basketball court, mini library station, and room for soccer practice."
"Great hidden playground. I didnt know this place till my friend told me. They have activities there also such as Summer Camp, Run etc. I recommend to check McKnight Village Women's club or Neighborhood FB page for events."
