Our Distinguished Team:

1. Dr. Baumwell: With over 20 years of experience in microsurgical and laser procedures, Dr. Baumwell is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He completed his medical degree at the State University of New York, Buffalo, and his residency at the University of Michigan. He specializes in refractive surgery and Lasik and is a Medical and Surgical Director at the Cataract and Eye Surgery Center of Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley General Hospital.

2. Dr. Bowers: Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Bowers completed his medical training at Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He is a clinical instructor at the Eye and Ear Institute, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and has published numerous articles and lectures nationally.

3. Dr. Verstraeten: A retina-vitreous disease specialist, Dr. Verstraeten received his medical degree from the University of Louvain, Belgium, and completed a Retina fellowship at the William Beaumont Hospital, Michigan. He is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh and is involved in cutting-edge research on retinal diseases.

4. Dr. Labriola: Board-certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Labriola specializes in retinal care, including macular degeneration and diabetes. She has a rich background in clinical and translational research and holds an MBA from Haub Business School. She is also the co-founder and President of two biotechnology companies.

5. Dr. Staines: A Pennsylvania licensed optometrist, Dr. Staines graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed her undergraduate studies at Duquesne University.

6. Dr. Melissa Kressley: A Pennsylvania licensed optometrist, Dr. Kressley is a member of several optometric associations and specializes in low vision exams. She has participated in mission trips to Honduras and is known for her warm and friendly approach to patient care.

7. Dr. Tadhg Schempf: A glaucoma specialist, Dr. Schempf graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He has conducted extensive research and is actively involved in community outreach efforts.
