"Absolutely unprofessional. Slovenly attired, dismissive to our questions, made jokes about my husband's brain abnormalities, did not explain his mri results to us, and attributed his symptoms to only a vitamin deficiency (we have since learned he likely has Parkinson's, but only after going to a better doctor!) Pathetic excuse for a doctor. RUN AWAY."
"On 4/8 (the day of the eclipse) my FIL had an appointment with Dr. Weisman at 3:40, who he has previously seen. My FIL is an 87 year old man with Dementia! So getting him to these appointments are very hard because of the Dementia. The day of the appointment I received a call at 12:32 from his nurse asking if we could come in at 2:30? I was surprised! I told her that my husband had to take off work to drive us there and was waiting for him to come home! I could NOT guarantee we would be there at 2:30 but we would do our best to get there as soon as we could. Her response was ,, okay! So, we get there at 2:45 having to sign in and give our photo id to get our name tags! As we were getting ready to move into security my phone rings! It was the office number. I answered and the same nurse asked where we were? I said we were in the lobby getting ready to go through security. She said well Dr. Weisman had an emergency and he is not here! I was COMPLETELY dumbfounded! I pleaded that we were in the lobby!! SHE did not care!! Said she could make a video appointment for Monday. Again I said but we are here! We are in the lobby! And she confirmed he was not!! I made the appointment and hung up on her! Told my husband what happened and went back to the check in because I was NOT paying to be in the garage when this doctor cancelled us! My husband was explaining to his father who would not move! He could not understand why his appointment was cancelled. After about ten minutes we were able to get him to at least walk with us back to the car!! The next day I called the office and asked to speak with the office manager and was told that they lost her last week. But they would email a supervisor who would be there the following day. A supervisor called me the next day where I explained to her in detail what happened! I said the problem with this so called “emergency” is if there really was an emergency when I told told the nurse my husband was taking off work to drive us there and I was waiting for him to come home - why didn’t she say if we couldn’t be there at 2:30 that he would need to reschedule? Instead they waited!!! They knew at 12:32 when they initially called there was something going on! They let us travel from Beaver County to West Penn hospital with an 87 year old Dementia patient. The Supervisor said she wanted to look into and she would get back to me by the end of the week. My other complaint was the NURSE was not empathetic or apologetic AT ALL! She could care less what was happening! The supervisor did apologize and further said it sounded like they definitely were in fault of this. But wanted to see what she could find out. We did have our appointment Monday. But I told my husband to not bring it up infront of my FIL. I did not want to cause him undue stress. BUT, if Dr. Weisman brought it up then we would address it and of course he did not!! Tuesday I had to call the office because the supervisor had YET to call me back! I was at an appointment when she decided to call me back at 3:41! Supervisor has yet to call back."
