Event Highlights:
When the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest returns, attendees can look forward to a vibrant celebration of Italian culture and heritage. The festival will feature:
- Culinary Delights: Dozens of Italian restaurants and food vendors offering a wide array of authentic Italian dishes.
- Main Stage: A central stage with wine and beer available under a spacious 160-foot tent at E Federal St & Champion St.
- Continuous Entertainment: A continuous stage of entertainment every night, with daily musical performances along the midway.
- Comfortable Viewing: Large tents designed for comfort and enjoyment while watching and listening to various events.
- Retail Vendors: Over two dozen retail vendors showcasing a variety of products.
- Opening Ceremonies: The festival will kick off on Friday evening, August 2nd, at 6pm with special opening ceremonies.
- Scholarships: Awarding of Italian Fest Scholarships to Youngstown State University (YSU) students.
- Recognitions: Italian Fest Man & Woman of the Year presentations.
- Family Fun: Little King & Queen Pageant and various contests including Morra Tournament, Pasta Eating Contest, Homemade Italian Wine Contest, and Homemade Peppers in Oil Contest.
- Venetian Auction Basket Tent: A special tent featuring a Venetian auction.
- Sunday Mass: An outdoor Sunday Mass with a procession.

"Disappointed type in search engine free things to do near me today. And the Italian festival came up as the number 1 choice on list. I click the link that said it was number 1. On site it said that there were over 50 different food vendors and blocks of craft vendors. Exciting games to play. Well it wasn't free had to pay for street parking and pay to get in. we did see a lot of food vendors pizza, bq rib guy, ice cream, subs. ton of lemonade stands every few feet there was lemonade stand. We saw 3 craft vendors Lady selling lamps, other vendor selling honey, other vendor selling shirts, a tent with auction. A large stage people singing. I heard other people commenting that this festival was not as good as in past years. This was first time I was there so I can't compare it to any other years."

"The lack of restrooms and seating areas to eat was about rediculas for the price of entry and the amount of people there, I had to wait in line for the only 2 they had and then I had to eat on the curb because I couldn't find a seat!!! If this was a restaurant it would have been over compacity and fined... Otherwise it's just all food vendors that charge you way over priced but thats as to be expected... what food I had was terrible and at $9 for just a fry. I was also warned to stay away from other places by random people,not just once thought that was weird??? STEP UP YOUR GAME YOUNGSTOWN!!!"
