2626 South Side Flats

"MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE - BAG STOLEN IN APARTMENT!!! I am absolutely appalled by the lack of securtiy at this so-called "luxury, high-end" apartment! Last Friday, I left my bag on the couch in the clubroom after the party ended at about 2 AM. The bag contains all my personal belongings: car key, apartment key, wallet, ID and iPad. When my friends, the residents of 2626, tried to open the clubroom, the fob didn't work. We tried to contact the emergency services, but no one bothered to show up! Is this the level of security and responsiveness we should expect from a supposedly upscale residence? The next morning, at 8:40 AM, my friend went to the clubroom only to find NO BAG inside, just a vacuum cleaner. It appears that the cleaning lady had entered the room before my friend, but shockingly, she denies seeing any bag. The evidence from the fob access indicates that only my friend and the cleaning lady entered the clubroom that morning. Coincidence? I think not! What's even more absurd is that there are NO SECURITY CAMERAS inside this so-called luxury apartment complex! Are we living in the dark ages? Without any evidence, it's impossible to identify the thief or hold anyone accountable. Moreover, the cleaning manager nonchalantly admitted to having a master key to all the rooms. Residents of 2626, lock your doors with utmost care! I am utterly disgusted by the lack of security measures in place, and I implore anyone considering this apartment complex to think twice before putting their safety and belongings at risk. This experience has been a total nightmare, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed and angry I am with the complete disregard for the security of the residents. Shame on you!"

"I lived here from Mid-2021 to Mid-2022, and it was my favorite apartment I have ever had! I lived in a “convertible” unit (not a true 1 bedroom but not a studio either due to the divider), and it was the perfect size for a one person, and it was comfortable hosting the occasional friend or two for a weekend. I thought the space was very well utilized despite the somewhat small square footage (3 closets and a linen closet, super large kitchen, nice bathroom). The gym was well-taken care of and not regularly too crowded, and the distance to the riverfront trail is awesome. You could also store bikes for free in the bike room. I didn’t face the courtyard, so I can’t comment on that noise, but my outside-facing apartment was usually pretty quiet. Can’t speak to pricing now - but when I lived there I thought my unit was fairly priced and actually a bit under most of the other luxury buildings in Pittsburgh proper. I was very impressed by the maintenance team here. Small issues were fixed within a day or so. My air conditioner broke over the summer (and the repair required unfortunately a long lead time), but the team installed a window unit to help keep me comfortable in the meantime. It was also the only place I’ve ever lived where I felt like the unit was actually cleaned prior to move-in. They also didn’t nickel-and-dime me when I moved out. The biggest negative of living here is probably the parking situation. You have to pay monthly for a spot high on the garage and walk through the whole building. Guests have to pay for street parking unless it’s Sunday. Although this is very clear when touring, it was my biggest pet peeve. But other than parking this apartment was great."

"Beautiful place! I love the location. It’s so easy to get on the bike trails or walk to anything you need. The staff are wonderful and take care of any issue right away. The heated pool and amenities are amazing."

"I stayed a little over 2 years at this place. Things have improved dramatically since the new management took over. I'm really happy to see this property heading the right direction now. It's beautiful and has a lot of potentials. Marlo and Linda from the management team are such a pleasure to deal with. They are responsive, caring and competent. We moved out to live in a house so our dog can have a yard. Otherwise we would have stayed. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home in Pittsburgh!"

"Steven & Jackie were such a help with my tour and then move in process. 24/7 they were available to answer any of my questions and they were patient enough to keep showing me different apartments until I found the perfect one. Once all the paperwork was done Steven was there with the Dolly to help me move everything in and has been there to answer all my questions and make move in as smooth as possible. The apartment was clean and looked brand new. I've only been moved in a week so far and everything has gone perfect. The running trail along the river goes down to the point and the gym inside our building is open 24/7. All my friends want to live here after seeing it and you can't beat the location right in the heart of southside works."
