"So unfortunately I have to give this place 2 stars. I wanted to try a new place since it was closer after moving and a new style and I regret it entirely. Before I go on I want to say that both the stylist and the owner tried to fix my hair but in the end I didn’t get a single style that last more than 2 weeks. Here’s a quick summary of my experience: I had to visit 6 times in total I spent $125 on a crochet braid service (25% tip) and $25 for my own hair before my appointment. I really like it once it was done but it didn’t last After a few days I noticed my natural hair wasn’t secured properly and started coming unbraided. Called and message them multiple time the following days with no response, and finally went in to talk to someone. Was told by the owner to come back the next day for the stylist to fix it. Came back and got it fixed only to realize the other side was still sticking out later that day and fixed it myself. Later that weekend I washed my hair (I always do with my knotless), because I have sensitive skin and the products/chemicals on the hair can irritate my scalp. That day it basically all started falling out and had to cover my head the next 2 days. (See pics) Spent days trying to reach them via phone and Instagram with no answer again. Went in again. I was told these were my options: 1. Large knotless or lemonade braids (I don’t like either) for free 2. Smedium knotless but a week and half wait + upcharge (I had a work trip the next weekend) 3. Redo the crochet for free I chose the last but wasn’t informed until coming back that I would have to go and pay for more hair again. I said no and asked for it to be taken out and styled naturally curly (see pics) I left knowing i was uncomfortable and didn’t like it, which is my fault for not speaking up but I felt pretty defeated at this point. Was encouraged by family to try one last time so I asked the stylist to have the owner contact me directly. It was then the stylist admitted she wasn’t familiar with my hair texture (thinner biracial 3b), something I wish I would have known before hand. Both the stylist and owner said I didn’t qualify for a refund because I didn’t complain within 3 business day of the appointment (their policy). I actually did they just didn’t answer their phone or messages. Showed proof too. Still no refund. She then offered passion twists the next day for a $60 up charge. I was hesitant and didn’t want to spend more money but didn’t want to deal with my natural hair so I caved. It was shorter, darker, and a completely different style than what I originally paid for but I accepted it. Not even two weeks later, my natural hair is sticking out everywhere and coming undone. (See pics) As of today I’ve had to redo 2 of them myself. I’ve done passion twists on myself in the past and they lasted me a month at least. This was such a stressful and disappointing experience. While both were very nice and tried to make things right the service results just did not last and weren’t worth the money. I wasted $210 in total and won’t be coming back despite being told they know how to work with my hair now and will do better next time. Would have been much happier with a partial refund after the first service fell out. Would have saved me a lot more time, money, sleep, and tears."
