"The email address listed on the website as”unable to reach the server or not accepting emails” so the email I sent was returned after several attempts to deliver it ."
"Wow these reviews are horrible. My friend is always without electricity and Internet access. I wanted to help not only him, but other needy people in Bahia Honda. They need help with fresh water, antacids, basics toiletries, food, money etc... These fake cuban consulate is a communist set up within a democracy ! They hindering Americans from helping Cuba. I do not like communism. They are lying about housing all Cubans. There are not many libraries in Cuba, if any at all. Furthermore, afro Cubans are pushed to the east and deprived of luxuries that "white Cubans" have. If my loved ones don't get help, I will seek to overthrow communism and update Cuba to 2024 ! No way they should be without electricity. My friend lives off 10 dollars. I almost cried. Cuba also prevents the world from helping Cubans financially."
"I have called numerous times to the phone number listed, the recording just gives you the run around and you never really talk to anybody. They also want you to use agencies that overt price for their services when we should be able to contact the embassy directly, get better instructions asked to the process Of authenticating documents, this is just as bad as living in cuba ridiculous."
"My review is for consulate services. Unfortunately I don’t see the Cuban consulate in DC listed, therefore I am leaving my review on the embassy profile. FYI : THE CONSULATE BUILDING IS CLOSED since beginning of covid and hasn’t reopened. It is not listed or disclosed anywhere, so please, don’t waste your time going there like I did. I drove almost 2 hrs one way last December 20, 2023 to renew my passport and the consulate building was closed."
"They are NOT “open” to the public. We flew out because we saw conflicting reviews, and couldn’t get an answered phone call. Otherwise, you can ring the bell and ask for some direction on your inquiry, but there is absolutely no processing they can do on the spot. You must send all your documents through mail and make sure to include all the correct required documents with their Spanish translation and fees attached. There is no exception. Otherwise people at the Embassy were very professional in answering our inquires and recommended we seek legal assistance for our specific case. We went ahead and did that with District Cuba a few blocks away and resolved our case through them and paid for their services. Our trip here was all in all not in vain but for anyone seeking in person services or online (don’t live in DC) I do recommend District Cuba."
