One surgery took an unexpected 12 hours because of the quality of my blood vessels yet Dr. Gimbel took the time afterward to contact my family and assure them I was doing well. Instead of attempting to finish the surgery he waited to insure there would be no complications with the muscle flap before attempting the skin graft. This was my second muscle flap/skin graft of this leg (1st was 12 1/2 years before by another wonderful surgeon). Great job!"
